Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…After the death of one of the most renowned artists Deenanath Mangeshkar, his daughter Lata Mangeshkar along with her family has acknowledged the work of some popular artists in the field of entertainment and social activities by honouring them with the Deenanath Mangeshkar award. This year, Rishi Kapoor's name has been suggested for this coveted award for his immense contribution to cinema.
Belonging to one of the most respected families in Bollywood, Rishi Kapoor was always known for his adorable and charming romantic hero avatar since Bobby and continued to give some memorable performances throughout in films like Khel Khel Mein, Sagar and many more including his recent films like D-Day and Bewakoofiyan.
Along with him, some other artists from the music and theatre industry like Zakir Hussain, Pandharinath Kolhapure, Dinesh Pedanekar, Mukta Barve, Shivaji Satam will be presented with this honour for their respective work in the entertainment field. Also, Anna Hazare will receive the award for spreading social awareness among people.
The award ceremony is to be held on April 24.
