USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…The battle of words between Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Rishi Kapoor has finally ended with Nawaz apologizing to the senior actor for unintentionally having caused offence.

Says Nawaz, "It was never my intention to criticize or to even speak about Rishi Kapoorji. He is a senior and an actor I've grown up watching. Back home where I grew up we had no cinema halls. I'd travel hundreds of kilometers to watch Rishiji in Bobby, Khel Khel Mein and Kabhi Kabhie. He was, and remains one of my favourite actors."

Nawaz says he never said anything about Rishi Kapoor. "It was a general observation on romantic scenes. I don't know why he took it personally. I never meant to cause any offence. I've no hesitation in apologizing to Rishiji."

In a new twist to the controversy Rishi Kapoor says he was completely misquoted. "I haven't read the interview where I am quoted as talking about Nawazuddin. But I don't remember saying anything to any journalist about this. Someone mentioned that this actor had strongly condemned some actors who had a particular image. To this I had a polite reaction. My reaction was certainly not the way it has been made out to be."
