Even as the sound of 'Tum Hi Ho' continues to reverberate a year after it was heard first, the music team of Aashiqui 2 is set to resurface with Ek Villain. Mithoon and Ankit Tiwari, the two youngsters who had created magic in the Aditya Roy Kapoor- Shraddha Kapoor starrer, have come together again for the Sidharth Malhotra- Shraddha Kapoor- Riteish Deshmukh starrer.
"Another major element that ties the two films is director Mohit Suri who enjoys an impeccable record when it comes to music of his films," comments a source, who adds, "Right from Zeher to Kalyug to Awarapan to Raaz – The Mystery Continues to Murder 2 and other films that he has directed, the music has always been the highlight. It is no different for Ek Villain."
Considering the fact that the Balaji production has a rather 'villainous' title, one would have thought that music may take a relative backseat in this romantic drama cum thriller.
"No way," the source adds, "Mohit's films are bound to have melodies occupying center-stage and that is the case with Ek Villain as well. In fact, Mithoon and Ankit have made sure that they create the best songs till date for this keenly awaited film."
No wonder that those who have heard the music of Ek Villain swear that it will supersede that of Aashiqui 2.
