We had recently reported about the theft that had taken place at producer-director-actor Satish Kaushik's residence to the tune of Rs. 1.2 crores. The latest update on this case is that the Mumbai Police has solved this case! They arrested Sajan Kumar (Satish's domestic help and also the prime accused in the case) from Chembur and recovered the whole amount from him.
An officer from Versova police station said that it was a pre-planned crime, as Sajan was aware that Satish Kaushik had received the said amount by one of his employees two days before. And on Sunday afternoon, when Satish's wife was in the bedroom, Sajan fled with the bag containing the whole cash. After Satish's wife's search for the cash proved futile, they approached the Versova police and registered a case against Sajan.
Sajan's movements were traced down by the police through his cell phone's IMEI number. While he was then picked up from Vashi Naka by the cops, the cash was recovered from his relative's place in Kurla. Sajan was produced before a local court, which then has remanded him in police custody till May 26.
