USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…It takes guts to edit out superstars Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan from a film, and that too a film which features newcomers in the lead.

But that's precisely what the makers of Fugly have done. They've decided to remove the big Yo Yo Honey Singh number featuring Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar.

The promotional number was meant to roll with the end-credits. Instead we now see Kiara Advani's character gazing reflectively into the serene landscape of Leh as the end-credits roll. Says the film producer Ashvini Yardi, "We took a conscious decision to remove the Salman-Akshay song as it did not jell with the film's ending. We feel it's important to be true to the theme and mood. In any case the song was meant for promotional purposes."

Promotional songs featuring superstars are often thrust at the end of our films. Recently Yo Yo Honey Singh's chartbuster 'Party With The Bhootnath' did not jell with the ending of Bhootnath Returns. The director decided to put the song halfway through as the end-credits rolled.
