The team of the recently released rib tickler Humshakals, which has been doing well at the box office, will be celebrating the success later tonight. While the reviews of the film have been below par, the audience has taken a liking to the film. We caught up with director Sajid Khan to find out more about his plans post the success of the film. Talking about the tonight's party, he says, "Yes we are having a success bash later tonight, but more than to celebrate the film's success, it's a party to thank the audience for their support."
Further talking about the exhausting task of shooting Humshakals, Sajid says, "You know I have hardly had any sleep in the past couple of weeks, thanks to Humshakals release and promotions. But now that it has been liked by the audience, contrary to critic reports, I am looking at taking a 10 day break."
However post the break, the director, who suffered a setback after his earlier release Himmatwala was unanimously panned, plans on returning with a vengeance. "After the release and downfall of Himmatwala, Humshakals doing well is great news. Now I am looking at the idea of converting it into a franchise much like the Housefull series. But the thing is that since Humshakals had so many characters, the sequel will have to have even more, so despite wanting to make a film like that first, we will need to think of its execution and feasibility."
