The actress, who will be playing the role of a cop for the first time, tied the knot with Aditya Chopra early this year and since then has been missing from the social circuit. While Rani finished shooting for the last schedule of the film recently, the location of shoot were kept strictly under wraps. In fact, the makers had also beefed up security on sets to ensure that paparazzi and on lookers be avoided. However, finally Rani was seen at a public platform yesterday.
Directed by Pradeep Sarkar and produced by Aditya Chopra, Mardaani talks about human trafficking and it is slated to release worldwide on August 22.
