USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…For Armaan Jain and Deeksha Seth, the lead pair of Lekar Hum Deewana Dil, it is real life coming close to the reel life. In one of the first of its kind initiatives, they are now being seen promoting a good cause of adopting a stray dog and giving the animal a new lease of life through their debut film.
"In real life too, Armaan and Deeksha are avid dog lovers and this cause is very close to them. Producers Eros have conceptualized a unique campaign wherein kiosks would be put up at multiplex properties across India stating 'Adopt a hero, save a life'. While the 'hero' here is of course a dog, another slogan that has been designed is 'Abki baar, hero karega sirf pyaar'," informs our source, "Interestingly, there is a point in the film where Deeksha's character adopts a puppy which she finds on the road all alone."
This isn't all, as an online application too has been created which allows users to upload pictures with their dog, which would lead to ten lucky winners across India.
"Well, the idea behind 'adopting a puppy' is to also raise awareness amongst people on how animals also require love, care and support! This also helps in a 360 degree campaign for the film as well as our corporate social responsibility," a spokesperson from Eros adds, "We are taking the campaign across theaters, kiosks, radio and internet."
For Armaan and Deeksha, it is as exciting as it gets. "During the making of the film, we enjoyed some puppy love. No pun intended. Now next one week it would be good to relive the memories with a puppy again," the duo adds in unison.
