Bollywood Hungama kicks off with a brand new section called 'Brand Talk', wherein we speak to the celebrities about the brands that they endorse.
This time, it's Vivek Oberoi, who spoke to Satish Sundaresan of Bollywood Hungama all about NZ Seasonal Wear Pvt. Ltd's Zeel rainwear, the brand of which he is the brand ambassador. Over to you, Vivek.
Vivek, to start with, how does it feel to be the brand ambassador for 'Zeel rainwear'?
It's a great feeling because Zeel is the first organized player in the fashion rainwear market.
What made you say yes to this offer?
I felt that there was a vacuum in the arena of fashion rainwear. The things which are available in the market are the stereotyped raincoats and are ugly looking. On the other hand, Zeel's wide range of products came across as a breath of fresh air.
What's your favourite accessory this monsoon?
My Zeel jacket… anytime!
What's your role as its brand ambassador for Zeel?
My role predominantly is brand development, brand association and marketing.
You've shot an exclusive ad campaign for Zeel. How was the experience of the same?
The whole shoot was total fun. The response for the ad from the dealers and everyone alike is simply fabulous and very encouraging.
Since Zeel is about rainwear, do you have any memories about the rainy season / monsoon (both real life and reel life)?
Rains are something which I have thoroughly enjoyed while growing up in Mumbai. In real life, I have lots of memories associated with rains, right from my college days wherein, despite being all wet, we used to run to get inside the buses and trains or even hitch a ride with a friend. How can one forget the ever so green memory of the deadly combination of garma garam chai and pakodas! My dad used to take our whole family to Khandala during the rains, a 'tradition' which I will also like to follow with my kid, after he is a bit grown up.
And on screen, I have done a lot of rain songs and even fight sequences. One of the most famous rain song remains 'On the roof…in the rain', from the film Masti.
Tete- A- Tete with Dinesh Trivedi (Managing Director- N Z Seasonal Wear Pvt. Ltd) What's the tenure of his deal and what's his role in the whole process? How do you see the competition in the market segment of rainwear? How different is Zeel from all the other existing rainwear in the market? What, according to you, is the USP of Zeel? |
