Chaubey also maintained that Udta Punjab will be a thriller drama that will focus on the youth and their mindset. With many actresses' names being tossed around, last time we heard that Priyanka Chopra will be a part of the film and recently, it is being said that Parineeti has been approached for the lead role. However, Abhishek is not ready to divulge the details of the female lead and stated that he is currently in talks with an actress but has not finalized anyone for the role.
