USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…The 2002 hit and run case involving one of Bollywood's biggest actors Salman Khan has been dragging on for quite a while now. After multiple postponements and numerous hearings, the latest is that the diary of the case has apparently gone missing. In fact the police state that the case diary including 56 of the 63 case related documents have since been misplaced (read missing).

While in the last hearing the police had informed the court of the missing documents, now in light of the disappearance of the case diary, the court has now directed the police to locate the documents by September 12 and also file a report on the prosecution's course of action. Apart from this, the court has also directed former investigating officer Kishan Shengal to be present in the next hearing that has been scheduled for September 12.

Also, on the agenda for the hearing on Sept 12, the court will be passing judgment on the apparent contempt of court notice that had been served to a known news channel for interviewing witnesses despite the ongoing trial.

The case that started off as a misdemeanor of rash and negligent driving was later in 2013 changed to a more grievous charge of culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
