Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Recently, one of the beautiful states of India, Kashmir, was hit by heavy floods and many tourists as well as locals have been trapped there owing to the natural calamity. One of them who got affected by this was director Shakun Batra.

Shakun Batra who directed the short spoof video on actress Alia Bhatt titled 'Alia Bhatt: Genius of the Year', took off to the beautiful valley in order to attend a friend's wedding in Srinagar. After the news of floods in Kashmir hit the web, his friends and well wishers in Mumbai were trying to contact him but in vain. However, one of his friends Ayesha Devitre was lucky enough to get through and she revealed that Shakun contacted her on September 7 from an unknown number to inform her that he is safe but since then she hasn't spoke to him. She also further added that while the Indian Army and Air Force are trying to help people who are stranded in the calamity affected area, Shakun Batra being one of them is waiting to be air lifted.

Shakun Batra started his career as a director by helming Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu for Dharma Productions which starred Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan in lead roles.
