Abhishek Bachchan, who bought a kabbadi team recently and is also actively participating in the Indian Soccer League, now wants to merge sports and movies.
Yes, it is yet another biopic in the making and Abhishek Bachchan wants it to be on the popular cricketer Yuvraj Singh. The actor believes that Yuvraj has had a very inspiring journey and he expressed his desire to play the role of the cricketer in his biopic. In fact, Abhishek Bachchan seems to be very sure of taking this idea forward and has even approached Yuvraj Singh on the same.
The film in question will be based on the autobiography of Yuvraj Singh which was released in 2013, titled The 'Test Of My Life'. The book talks about the cricketer's journey especially his long battle with the deadly disease, cancer. Abhishek Bachchan promised that the next time he meets Yuvi (Yuvraj Singh) he will be talking to him about the film seriously and that he would about purchasing the rights of the book.
Recently, there have been a number of sports biopics released in Bollywood including Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Mary Kom and the two films have tasted success at the box office.
However, Abhishek Bachchan is currently juggling between the football championship and the promotions of his upcoming film Happy New Year along with Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. He will also be seen with Asin in the Umesh Shukla directorial All Is Well, produced by Bhushan Kumar.
