Reports that director Apoorva Lakhia is 'seriously considering' Rani Mukerji for his bio-pic on Dawood's sister Haseena Parkar, has the film's purported director Apoorva Lakhia rolling on the floor with laughter. "Rani is losing weight for a role that I haven't offered her?
I am supposed to have decided on Rani to play Haseena, when I haven't even decided whether I can make a film on the concerned lady or not," says Lakhia. Apparently, Haseena Parkar's family wants creative control of the project to ensure that the lady is not painted in unsavory colors. This would mean a lot of whitewashing of the protagonist's character which Apoorva is not willing to do. Guffaws Lakhia, "While I am yet to sort out the issues regarding the project, Rani is supposed to have started putting on weight for the role. I suggest those who write such things better know a good dietitian to reverse the damage." In the meanwhile, a friend of Rani says she has no plans of signing any films at the moment. "From what we hear, she plans to start a family this year," says the friend.
