The music composer duo of Salim Merchant and brother, Sulaiman Merchant were recently on a North America tour. Now we hear that post the culmination of their tour the duo were honoured with a congressional certificate of merit for excellence in Bollywood.
Commenting on the honour Sulaiman posted an image on his facebook page saying, "Earlier on in the day, Salim and me received a congressional certificate for excellence in Bollywood and also for the charitable work that we have been able to achieve thru our concerts. The certificate comes from the office of governor cuomo and was conferred to us by the Indian Ambassador to the U.S. His excellency ambassador Moulay."
Later when commenting on the honour Sulaiman added, "We feel honored to have received the 'Congressional Certificate of Merit' from the Governor of New York, awarded by His Excellency Ambassador Mr. Mulay. On our way back to India with a heavy heart and some fond memories of our incredible Salim Sulaiman Live 2014 Tour!"
