The star cast who will be seen together for the first time has Zarine playing a journalist in the film, while Sharman and Vir are playing NGO workers who unites warring families. Nonsense will be directed by Ashwin Shetty who marks his debut in Hindi film industry has directed several TV commercials. Ashwin was also an associate director on Heyy Babyy, Housefull and Heropanti.

Bhushan Kumar impressed by Ashwin's work says, "The fresh casting with a quirky script will leave the audience in splits. Ashwin is good in his work and I have full faith in him. When he and Harsh came for narration, the dialogues and the way Harsh took us through the film we were laughing our heart out. This film will be a definite watch for the youth and everyone will leave the theatres entertained."

Harsh Limbachiya, who penned the TV show Comedy Circus, is writing the dialogues as well as the screenplay of Nonsense. Vir Das and Sharman Joshi who are popular for their comic timings will leave the audience in splits with this film.
Nonsense is expected to go on floors early next year.
