USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…In a refreshing departure from the norm, Dibakar Banerjee has no reason to be miffed with the Censor Board Of Film Certification (CBFC).

Says Shravan Kumar the CEO of the CBFC, "A screening of Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! was held for Examining Committee, which recommended the grant for U/A with excisions. No request for constitution of Revising Committee has been made by the producers as on date."

Dibakar says there was no reason to go to the Revising Committee. "Almost nothing was cut. Just a couple of fights…we were asked to reduce the length of those fights. I happily did that. They had absolutely no problems with the kissing or any of the other important scenes."

He says he has almost never had any problem with the censor board. "Not even in politically volatile film like Shanghai. Only once have I had a quibble with the censor board. It was for Love Sex Aur Dhoka where they knocked off a reference to a caste situation. That apart the CBFC has always been fair to me."

Adds Dibakar, "I know it is fashionable to criticize the Censor Board. But sorry I don't have any horror story of my own."
