Confirming the same Raj Nayak, CEO, Colors TV tweeted, "Colors welcomes the King of dance & actor par excellence @shahidkapoor to #JhalakDikhlaJaa Coming soon ???? #YouthIcon". In fact Shahid will be replacing Madhuri Dixit, who had judged the show for three seasons. Further talking about the void left by Madhuri's exit Raj Nayak added saying, "We are keen on continuing our relationship with her and our team is exploring a show that will suit her persona".
The dance show that is currently in its 8th season, pairs celebrity contestants with their choreographer partner to showcase their dancing skills.
