USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…So you think Bollywood's action films cannot hope to equal the lofty standards of Fast & Furious and Avengers?
Think again. The quality of stunts in our movies has undergone a drastic upgrading. Proof? For Brothers, the Bollywood version of Gavin O'Connor's 2011 actioner Warrior the same action team that did the famous boxing sequences and other stunts in the original has been roped in to do the action in the remake.
Apparently, the Hollywood team feels the end-results in the remake are far superior to the original.
Confirming this Akshay Kumar, the lead in Brothers says, "That's right. The stunt team from L.A which did our action scenes in Brothers said we surpassed the quality of fights that were shot in the original Hollywood film Warrior!! So that's definitely a film for the world audience to look forward to."
Sources close to Brothers say, the film's producers Karan Johar and Dharma Productions hope to crack the global market with Brothers. Says the source, "Akshay's boxing sequences in Brothers are better than what Tom Hardy did in the original. The same action team supervised the boxing scenes in both films. And they feel Akshay has gone ahead of the original. That's a big leap for Bollywood actioners."
