Says a source from the sets, "While shooting for this film, Ranveer Singh stayed completely silent when he was on the sets. Yes, even we were completely surprised! When he was not shooting or acting in front of the camera, Ranveer was internalizing the dialogues, the scene & the complex emotions from the film."
Playing Bajirao has been both physically & emotionally demanding for the young actor, given a shoulder injury that needed surgery & still needs therapy. The Maratha warrior has been portrayed as an intense, emotional person who goes through a lot during the course of this film. To deliver this, Ranveer needed to concentrate & literally feel every bit of these roller coaster emotions. Which is why, he prefered to not be his friendly, gregarious self on the sets of this film.
With elaborate preparations & consummate dedication, Ranveer Singh is definitely pushing the envelope as Peshwa Bajirao.
