Charlie Kay Chakkar Mein, an investigative thriller starring Naseeruddin Shah, Amit Sial, Anand Tiwari, Manasi Rachh and others, has generated curiosity around its title in Trade. While many think Charlie is name of a person, people in bigger cities – especially at places like South Mumbai – are aware that it refers to the popular drug, Cocaine.
To make sure that people understand what Charlie stands for in the title, makers of the film are giving out Mint Powder as substitute to Charlie in the press kit being disseminated to the media.
Interestingly, Naseeruddin Shah has done the film without taking any remuneration since it involves a lot of actors from theatre background.
The film is produced by Karan Arora of Picture Thoughts Production and directed by Manish Srivastav. It is slated to release on November 6.
