USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Early in May this year, the FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) had threatened to go on strike, if the producers' bodies failed to renew the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that had expired in February. In addition to that, they had also raised an objection against production houses that make employees work for more than 12 hours a day. The present day status is that, after all the talks with TV and film producers' bodies failed to yield any result, the FWICE has now decided to go on strike from October 3. The (MoU) regarding the revised pay of the workers was also rejected by FWICE.

Speaking about the same, Dilip Pithva (General Secretary-FWICE) said that, on Sunday, they had a meeting with the producer's bodies. After the failure of this meeting, they will now be going on indefinite strike from Saturday.
