USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…The veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt is all set to adorn the role of a co-writer and creative director for the Hindi adaptation of his latest protege- filmmaker Srijit Mukherjee's Bengali film Rajkahini.

Speaking about the film, Mahesh Bhatt, who was all praises for Srijit Mukherjee, said that just like Shabana Azmi and Smita Patil's films and also his daughter Alia Bhatt's role in Highway, Rajkahini too has one of the greatest performances by a woman (Rituparna Sengupta as Begum Jaan). He added that the soul stirring premise of Rajkahini moved him totally.

When asked about the film's heroine, Mahesh Bhatt wished that he would like Rituparna to act in the Hindi remake too. He also mentioned that, looking at her performance in the film brought tears in his eyes. That's when he immediately told her that he wanted to cast her in his film (the Hindi adaptation).
