USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Grand Masti, which released in 2013, has been caught up with the Censor board for the past two years waiting for a clearance to be screened on television. The makers of the film can finally heave a sigh of relief as the Delhi High Court removed the stay on the telecast of Grand Masti on television.

Grand Masti, is an adult comedy which is a sequel to Masti and faced many censorships during its release too. The film which received an 'A' certificate during its release later received a U/A certification in January after over 215 cuts which reduced the film's length from 135 minutes to just 98 minutes. While the film was supposed to be screened on August 21, the television premiere was stalled after a PIL was filed by Edara Gopi Chand through advocate Gaurav Bansal against the telecast of the film.

Post that, the media channel which was supposed to screen the film filed a plea against the stay order which ultimately led the Delhi High Court to consider and later, dispose the stay order. However, Chief Justice G Rohini and Justice Jayant Nath also declared that the film should follow and abide by the Cinematography Act 1952 while screening the film.

Starring Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani, Manjari Phadnis, Sonalee Kulkarni, Karishma Tanna, Kainaat Arora among others, Grand Masti was directed by Indra Kumar and produced by Ashok Thakeria.
