Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Shah Rukh Khan's recent statement over the prevailing 'intolerance' in the country has sent many politicians in frenzy as they accused the superstar for being a terrorist as well as a Pakistani. Owing to the current situation, Shah Rukh Khan has been provided with extra security in and around his residence Mannat located in suburban Mumbai.
From what we hear, two police vans have been guarding his residence from the outside while over 20 extra guards have been appointed indoors for the actor's security. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Satyanarayan Chaudhary too revealed about the increased security and also stated that they had taken this action a few days ago. There is also naka bandi on the popular location of Bandstand, where vehicles are randomly stopped and checked by police officials in order to ensure the actor and his family's safety.
Shah Rukh Khan, who recently turned 50, got embroiled in a controversy after he claimed that people in India are extremely intolerant when it comes to religious matters. His comment did not go down well with many politicians who not only condemned it but also accused the superstar of being a Pakistani agent and masterminding the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
