USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Founded in 1995, the Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) is an annual film festival that gets held in Kolkata. This festival is the second oldest international film festival in India. This year, the 21st Kolkata International Film Festival will be held this month, the powerhouse actress Vidya Balan has been invited as special guest.

The team of West Bengal's Honorable Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and the Festival director reached out to Vidya Balan in order to invite her for the festival which will host its 2nd International Competition by 'Woman Directors' Films'. Vidya Balan will join Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Amitabh Bachchan at the opening ceremony of the 21st KIFF which will take place at the Netaji Indoor Stadium.

Says a source associated with the festival, "Vidya Balan is looked upon as the darling of people in Kolkata. Her interest and knowledge of Bengali cinema coupled with her interaction with the locals during her film shoots in the city, has made her one of the most loved actresses in Kolkata".
