I have figured out things on my own - Harshvardhan Rane on his Sanam Teri Kasam debut

He isn't new to the world of films. Reason being that he has been doing a few films down South, and is already a known name there. However, when it came to Hindi films, he had to wait for a while. Not someone to give up and just leave it all on destiny, new youngster on the block, Harshvardhan Rane, continued to be persistence in his Bollywood journey and made sure sooner or later, he did manage to make inroads. It is this confidence in him that made Harshvardhan step into Radhika Rao & Vinay Sapru's Sanam Teri Kasam, even though it was originally supposed to star another youngster!

Over to Harsh, who has managed to make his presence felt in a good way with the release of his debut Hindi film.

"It is my luck to have directors like Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru who made the film look so beautiful. Moreover, the music is being appreciated to such a great extent. It is a Himesh Reshammiya show all the way. You can see and hear the magic he has created with the music. His strength is that he knows how to touch people's heart. As an actor, I couldn't have been more blessed than this," says Harshvardhan.

His chemistry with leading girl Mawra Hocane is being much talked about as well.

"You know, what really impressed me was the fact that Sanam Teri Kasam was taking a route straight out of classic love stories," he says, "People generally have an image of a princess in mind. You think of a love story and you remember Mills and Boons or Gone With The Wind. So when I look at Mawra, I get to see an exact cutout of a princess. Someone who is sweet, simple and petite. The kind of look and frame that she is, I could relate to her. She is so delicate in real life as well."

He is happy that the romantic moments between him and Mawra in the film have impressed audience. "Her dialogue delivery is so penetrative that it goes through you; I could feel that a lot. There was such good comfort level between us," he adds.
While he awaits the release of his next film Satra Ko Shaadi Hai (which is produced by John Abraham), it is also time to pick on his next film.

"I have done films down South and whenever I have moved on to my next, the thought is simple – my work today should be better than my last film," he says in a determined tone, "This is something that I have followed right from the time I have entered the industry. Yes, sometimes I got late in understanding things but then I have figured out things on my own. I am an outsider, I am still learning."
