Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…A recent statement of Kangna Ranaut revealed the existence of gender discrimination in small towns and villages as the actress went on to claim that she was an unwanted girl child. Asserting the same is her father, Amardeep Ranaut who reportedly not only agreed to his daughter's statements but also threw light on the backward condition of their village.

Stating that a daughter's birth is often treated as a funeral in his village that is located in Himachal Pradesh, Amardeep confessed that they too were victims of the same and had in fact, not even distributed sweets after the birth of Kangna. Readers may be aware that Kangna is actually their second daughter, while Rangoli is her elder sister. Rangoli also manages the publicity and personal affairs of her superstar sister and is herself an acid attack survivor.

The two sisters, Rangoli and Kangna Ranaut recently came together for an event to create awareness about the development of a girl child and have expressed their desire to promote it further in order to change the condition of the village, they hail from.

On the Bollywood front, Kangna Ranaut is shooting for Vishal Bhardwaj's Rangoon and simultaneously prepping for Hansal Mehta's Simran.
