Veteran actor Raza Murad attends Guest of Honour event in Lahore

The veteran actor Raza Murad, who is not seen as much on the silver screen of late, recently paid a visit to the Lahore Press Club (LPC) along with his family members for a programme titled 'Guest of Honour'. It was on his request, the well-known Pakistani legendary actor Mustafa Qureshi and also the extremely famous singer Ghulam Ali joined the programme. Speaking to the media, Raza Murad said that he had come to Pakistan on his daughter's request and that he had always garnered love and respect in Pakistan and he considered Pakistan as his my second home.

Besides reiterating India's former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's poetry in ghazal form, Raza Murad said that, when it comes to filmmaking, India and Pakistan should work together. Besides adding that Indian actors should get a chance to work in Pakistani films, he also showered words of praise on Mustafa Qureshi's acting as well as Ghulam Ali's singing. He confessed that he was a big fan of both personalities.

On the other hand, Shahbaz Mian (LPC President) and Shahdab Riaz (Secretary General) said that Raza Murad was extremely popular in India and Pakistan in spite of the tension between both countries. Shahbaz Mian (on behalf of the member of governing body) announced to award the honorary membership of LPC to Raza Murad.
