Alia Bhatt, who recently turned a year older, couldn't celebrate her birthday with family owing to the hectic schedule of Kapoor & Sons promotions. However, soon after she returned, not only did she receive a grand welcome from her mentor Karan Johar (who threw a birthday bash for her), but she also made up for the celebrations by spending time with her family.
Amidst her family who showered wishes and gifts for their blue eyed girl on her birthday, it was the actress' grandparents' special surprise that brought tears of happiness and joy in her eyes. Alia's grandmother and grandfather played the 'Happy Birthday' song on the harmonica and violin respectively. When their small tribute ended, Alia couldn't stop crying. Shooting the video and posting it on her Instagram was Alia's eldest sister Pooja Bhatt who added, "Happy Birthday Alia!!
