USA: Free $30 Oye! While the who's who of the entertainment industry including Bhansali's former leading ladies Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor, were in full attendance, Bhansali's 'Mastani' Deepika Padukone was conspicuous by her absence.

Says an invitee, "She was back in India for a day, the day the National awards were announced, before returning to shoot for her Hollywood film. She expressed her inability to be present at the party due to a prior comment."

However a source has another story to tell. "She was really hurt by the National awards snub. She had won all the popular awards for her performance in Piku and Bajirao Mastani. She expected the National award too. When it didn't happen she lost her appetite to celebrate with her Bajirao Mastani team."

Ranveer Singh, who was also said to be disappointed over his omission from the winners list of the National film awards, did sportingly show up for the party.

Also conspicuous by his absence was the Best Actor winner Amitabh Bachchan who was shooting a jewllery ad with wife Jaya. But his bahu Aishwarya was at the party. So was Rekha.

Shah Rukh Khan also attended the Bajirao Mastani victory party. It must be remembered that he had insisted on releasing his own film Dilwale on the same Friday as Bajirao Mastani, thereby jeopardizing the business of both.
