Earlier this month, the looks of Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh from the film Udta Punjab were released. While Shahid will be seen playing the role of a Punjabi rockstar in the film, Alia will be seen playing a hockey player in the film.
Posting an image of the same on her Instagram profile Alia added, "So lovely working with these beautiful inspiring girls all from diff colleges in Mumbai .. St. Andrews, Ambedkar College, Somaiya College, Jhunjhunwala College, SNDT College.. Thank you for teaching me a lot too ???? #UdtaPunjab #ShootLife #PackUp". The 23-year-old actress who recently shot for a song sequence with real-life hockey players from several colleges across Mumbai, including St Andrews, Ambedkar College, Jhunjhunwala College, Somaiya and SNDT underwent a month long training session for the sport.
As for the film, Udta Punjab presented by Balaji Motion pictures and produced by Phantom Films is directed by Abhishek Chaubey and is slated to release on June 17.
