'Khiladi' actor Akshay Kumar is currently experimenting with varied genres. While on one hand he enjoyed a successful month of January owing to the success of Airlift, he is now gearing up for the promotions of the third installment of the comic franchise Housefull. And now, the superstar along with his co-star Ileana D'Cruz was seen on the sets of his other upcoming film Rustom.
Even before the release of Airlift, Akshay Kumar and his favourite director Neeraj Pandey decided to come together for yet another retelling of real life instances in the romantic thriller Rustom. Here’s a glimpse of Akshay and Ileana who were seen posing on the sets of the film. Since the film is set in the 50s, the costumes sported by the actors will be equally intriguing. While Akshay Kumar plays the role of naval officer Rustom Pavri, the details of the other characters are strictly kept under wraps. Rumours have it that the film is based on the crime of passion of naval officer K M Nanavati but there has been no official confirmation on the same.
Also starring Esha Gupta, Rustom is directed by Tinu Suresh Desai and is slated to release on August 12.
