Time and again actress Kalki Koechlin has proved that she is more than just a pretty face in Bollywood. The actress has not only starred in various critically acclaimed films but also won a National Award this year for her outstanding performance in 2015 film, Margarita with a Straw.
After working with Naseeruddin Shah in the film Waiting, Kalki is back with an unrecognizable avatar for her next venture. The actress is a part of a play titled 'What's Done, Is Done', an adaptation of William Shakespeare's 'Macbeth'. The actress took to her Instagram account to share some pictures of her new play. Kalki is dressed as a clown with smudged red lips, a black cap and turban. The actress' look reminds us of the Joker character from the famous 'Batman' series. Along with this post she also said, "Just another working day in the life of clowns. #macbeth #whatsdoneisdone #5thJune #JBT." She further added, "Witches getting ready #whatsdoneisdone"
The play, inspired from Macbeth, tells a story of the righteous Macky B as his life turns upside down in one night when he encounters three weird sisters. Directed by Rajat Kapoor, the play also stars Vinay Pathak and Ranvir Shorey. The first show of the play was staged on June 5 in Mumbai.
