Check out Amul gives its take on Udta Punjab

The past couple of days have been witnessing a battle of sorts as the drug drama Udta Punjab has been embroiled into a major controversy with the Censor Board of Film Certification. Amul likes to give its quirky take on the ongoing issues in the country and this time around too the dairy brand has come up with a new poster on the said controversy.

Titled 'Ladta Pahlaj' (readers may be aware that Pahlaj Nihlani is the CBFC Chief), Amul's poster includes the caricatures of Shahid Kapoor as Tommy Singh, his character of rockstar in the film, Diljit Dosanjh, who plays a cop in the film along with Kareena Kapoor Khan as a doctor and Alia Bhatt as the Bihari migrant with a tagline that reads 'Amul – Goodtha Butter'.

For the uninitiated, the makers of drug drama Udta Punjab have moved the High Court after the Revising Committee recommended over 90 cuts in the film including the removal of any reference of Punjab or name of the city in the state. Amidst the censorship chaos, the film also became a victim of political accusations as a new series of blame game started with the ruling government and opposition throwing blame games at each other over the portrayal of substance abuse in the film.
