Last week, The Gateway of India witnessed a live and 'rocking' performance of Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal and Purab Kohli, who were performing a 'liver gig' for their upcoming film Rock On!! 2, which happens to be the sequel of the cult film Rock On!!
The crowd gathered at the venue was not less than 3000 odd people (junior artistes and onlookers), the film's crew and the security personnels. While the entire sequence was choreographed 'live' by Bosco Martis, Farhan Akhtar sang four new singles. The 'venue' also doubled up as the 'introduction' of Rob Nancy (Luke Kenny's character), the very band member who had died in the film's first part.
Ever since Rock On!! 2, had been announced, there were incessant rumors about retaining Luke Kenny's character in Rock On!! 2. And for all those who were awaiting the answer to this eternal question, Luke Kenny will very much be a part of Rock On!! 2.
As per our reliable source, the film's makers decided that, after the death of Rob Nancy in Rock On!!, he will be seen in a special appearance as a drunkard who gets into an argument with the team backstage. But, his sudden appearance surprises all the band members. After that, it turns out that, while Rob Nancy is dead, the person in front of them is his lookalike, who can sing as well. That's how and when Rob Nancy makes a comeback in the film, but, with a different name.
