The director producer will be a part of the campaign titled The Innocence Network which will be launched on the 10th anniversary of the blast.

Stating about being a part of it, Mahesh Bhatt further added that he believes in providing the right to every individual to continue his fight for innocence unless proven guilty by the highest court. A special court of Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act had sentenced seven of the accused (in 11/7 blasts) to lifetime imprisonment while five others to hang till death. However, the family of the 12 convicts continue to fight against the law claiming that their family members were innocent. From what we hear, the campaign headed by acquitted accused Abdul Wahid Shaikh stated that they have a little bit of legal help and will take this campaign across several platforms including social media.
