Priyanka Chopra supports UNICEFs new campaign Fair Start

Priyanka Chopra, who has been roped in by UNICEF as the face of promoting child rights and adolescence, recently attended a campaign called Fair Start. The press conference had Priyanka as a guest along with other prominent personalities, wherein she interacted with several children and also spoke about the importance of a 'fair start'.

The official twitter handle of UNICEF posted a few excerpts from the press conference as Priyanka Chopra spoke about the importance of education, providing fair opportunities to all children irrespective of gender and covered other important areas. "We're a young country, youth is our future. What're we doing to ensure everyone gets a #FairStart? Children who have privilege – don't feel guilty; be aware you have power to bring change. Your last year's book, clothes could be used by someone who doesn't have the privilege. We can't eradicate poverty ourself or bridge inequity gap, but we have power to bring small changes," said Priyanka. She further stressed on gender equality adding, "Woman who used to work with me, I found her daughter didn't go to school but son did. This changed something in me. So, I started my own foundation. I work with UNICEF…I believe in equality in gender, career! It's hard to bring change alone, but small changes are easy."
