Just a few days ago, Wave Cinemas had announced that they would soon kick start a much ambitious film, with Rajkumar Santoshi directing it. Based on the battle of Sargarhi, Randeep Hooda will play the leading man in Sargarhi.

Here's the first look of Randeep Hooda who plays the role of a military commander of the 36th Sikhs, Havildar Ishar Singh. An attack by the Afghani Orakzai tribe on 21 Sikhs at a British Indian contingent and their courage to fight against an army of 10000 men is remembered till today. Regarded to be one of the biggest examples of valour in the history of Indian army, September 12 is until now commemorated as the Sargarhi Day. Rahul Mittra, CEO of Wave Cinemas recently revealed that Randeep has already started prepping for the role and will learn skills like sword fighting and shooting with vintage guns. He will also undergo physical training to beef up his body to portray the role of a military commander.

Interestingly, Ajay Devgn too announced yet another film on Battle of Sargarhi titled Sons of Sardar long ago. The first look poster of the film was released a few days ago. And now with Randeep Hooda's avatar in Sargarhi, it seems that Bollywood is all set to see two versions of this heroic battle.
