Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…While Vidya Balan is the face of the Indian Film Festival that is held in Melbourne every year, this year the theme of the same was that of women empowerment. Known for her bold roles, the actress was not only felicitated at the festival but she also launched a unique initiative of sorts.

Spreading the message of education, Vidya Balan launched the Train the Trainers campaign in collaboration with La Trobe University in Melbourne along with the support of the Victorian Government. Mainly focusing on people and children with special needs, the initiative aims to provide assistance and education to all and have a few seats reserved for them in all educational institutions. Considering its collaboration, some of the professionals will be flying down to India to provide help for these children in the country.
Talking about the initiative, Vidya added that this will bring together specialists and teachers from Australia and India with a motive of working together to help and support each other in fostering the growth of education.
