The latest update on Katrina Kaif is that, she has now been dropped by the cosmetic giant L'Oréal, of which she has been the brand ambassador for quite some time now. While the media screamed with headlines stating Katrina Kaif’s getting into retail business led to L’Oréal dropping her as their brand ambassador as it would have led to clash of interest. Well, the truth of the matter seems to be something else altogether.

As per Bollywood Hungama’s reliable sources, L'Oréal’s decision to dump Katrina Kaif as its brand ambassador was purely on the fact that her movies were not doing well at the Box-Office. Moreover, when L’Oréal asked Katrina Kaif to lower her endorsement fees, she simply refused to budge. Left with no other choice, L'Oréal, then, went ahead and dropped her as their brand ambassador. And in order to ensure damage control, it was so decided to give a new spin to the story by stating Katrina Kaif’s new business venture in retail being the reason for L'Oréal and her to part ways ‘amicably’. On the professional front, Katrina Kaif will be soon seen in Anurag Basu’s Jagga Jasoos, which has Ranbir Kapoor as her co-star.
