Recently, when filmmaker Rakesh Roshan commented that his son’s revelations about a certain allegation by an actress of a relationship would shock the public, Kangna Ranaut, known to voice her opinion on all issues, personal and professional, jumped into the fray to wonder why a father needed to speak for his son. Said Kangna Ranaut, “I want to know why Indian men can’t stand for themselves. He (Hrithik) is 43 years old. Why his father always has to come to his rescue? For how long will he keep hiding behind their big influential father’s name? He (Hrithik) is an adult and pretty much can handle his own controversies in show business. It is just a simple controversy. Why daddies have to save their son? I don’t understand this.” Earlier when asked to react to Kangna’s sneering response, Rakesh Roshan had kept quiet proclaiming he will speak at an appropriate time. Now, for the first time, Rakesh Roshan reacts to Kangna’s observation about daddy’s intervention. “I am still very much a working father and I very proudly take active part in my son’s life. And for those who find that unacceptable, let me say that for parents, the children, whether 43 or 83 years old, they are still children.” Of late, Hrithik has been through some serious personal and professional setbacks. Papa Roshan refuses to see the clouds in his son’s life. “Hrithik has not gone through any hard times. Ups and downs are a part of every person’s life. Whatever Hrithik is doing, he is doing with a smile.”
