USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Cinetek Telefilms Pvt. Ltd.'s Santa Banta Pvt. Ltd. (UA) is a comedy about two clumsy men Santa (Boman Irani) and Banta (Vir Das). Life for these two simpletons is pretty simple, courtesy their laidback attitude towards life. Problems start when Shankar Roy (Ayub Khan) an official of the government of India, gets kidnapped.
Unforeseen circumstances make Santa and Banta as detective agents who are on a mission to search for the kidnapped Shankar Roy. Situations become more complicated when Shankar Roy's wife (Neha Dhupia) tells Santa and Banta that, she suspects foul play and that her husband could not have been kidnapped. The needle of suspicion hangs on from one character to the other.
Does Santa and Banta become successful in unearthing the plot behind the kidnapping of Shankar Roy, does Kareena's worst fear come true and does the reality of Santa and Banta come before the world is what forms the rest of the film.
