USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of two arrests made in a violent robbery investigation.

On Monday, March 20, 2023, at 8:04 p.m., police responded to a Theft of Vehicle call in the Rogers Road & Kane Avenue area.

It is alleged that:

• the victim parked his vehicle and began to walk away
• two men approached the victim and made a demand for the vehicle’s keys
• the men began to violently assault the victim
• the victim attempted to run away but the men chased him across the road and continued the assault
• during the assault, one of the men armed with a knife, stabbed the victim multiple times
• they left the victim laying on the ground as they fled the area in the victim’s vehicle
• the victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries

Members of the Hold Up Squad commenced an investigation. On Tuesday, March 21, 2023, officers located the victim’s stolen vehicle. The investigation continued at the recovery scene and, with the assistance of 12 & 13 Division Primary Response Units, the two men were located and taken into custody.

It is further alleged that:

• at the time of the arrests, officers recovered the knife used during the robbery

Further investigation by members of the Hold Up Squad revealed that the same two men were involved in a previously reported carjacking robbery.

On Sunday, March 19, 2023, police responded to a theft of vehicle call in the Bernard Avenue & Spadina Road Area.

It is alleged that:

• while making a delivery, the victim exited his vehicle and left it running
• two men approached the victim’s vehicle and started to get in
• as the victim returned to the vehicle, both men produced knives and one made an attempt to stab the victim
• the victim used his delivery bag to fend off the men and was able to retreat from the area
• the men fled the area in the victim’s vehicle
• the stolen vehicle, a red 2012 Chevrolet Sonic with Ontario license plate CYRN 462, has not been recovered.

Ladislav Geci, 19, of Toronto, was charged with:

1. Attempt Murder
2. Robbery With Offensive Weapon
3. Aggravated Assault
4. Assault With Weapon
5. Carry Concealed Weapon
6. Weapons Dangerous
7. Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence
8. Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over
9.  two counts of Fail to Comply Probation
10. Operate a Conveyance While Prohibited

He is scheduled to appear in court for a bail hearing on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, Room 204.

Ordayne Sinoiz, 18, of Toronto, was charged with:

1. Attempt Murder
2. Robbery With Offensive Weapon
3. Aggravated Assault
4. Assault With Weapon
5. Carry Concealed Weapon
6. Weapons Dangerous
7. Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence
8. Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over
