Following India’s victory in the ICC World Cup, my colleagues and I have received numerous messages felicitating India. All have shared with us their own sense of joy, pride and cheer for India. The Indo-Canadian community have also held spontaneous and widespread celebrations. It is heartwarming to see this great sense of pride that members of the community have felt in their Indian heritage and identity. There could not have been a better celebration of the Year of India in Canada than this.I would like to take this opportunity to thank all members of the Indo-Canadian community and friends of India in the GTA, who had joined us in celebrating India’s victory.
