Distinguished religious statesman Rajan Zed has asked for an immediate public apology from Hollywood diva Lindsay Lohan (Mean Girls) for reportedly derogatory remarks against gypsies, indicating that they were thieves.
Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that it was highly unacceptable that an entire community was blamed for no fault of their own. It was blatant racism and should be universally condemned.
Rajan Zed argued that Lohan appeared to be stigmatizing the entire Gypsy community with her remarks. It seemed like an attempt to demonize the already most prejudiced against community and eternalizing negative stereotyping of them.
Expressing disappointment at her remarks, Zed asked Lohan to offer an unconditional apology for her reportedly ‘racist’ comments, which he noted were disparaging to these communities.
Lohan reportedly had an altercation with a fortune teller at a New York City nightclub Thursday morning when she uttered racist Gypsy slur.
MTV Award winner Lindsay Dee Lohan, 26, is a well known American actress-singer-model and has topped Maxim’s “Hot 100”.
