The Don Valley Parkway and the Gardiner Expressway have reopened after the 24th annual Becel Ride for Heart charity event which saw almost 13,000 cyclists out to try their hand and peddles at navigating Toronto’s highways. Both routes were closed from 2am Sunday morning to 2pm Sunday afternoon as bikers went through 3 different routes. The longest 75 km race began at 6am while the shorter ones started between 7:30 and 8am.

Everyone’s hard work paid off as this year’s total of $3.9 million raised shatters last year’s record by $600,000.

Congratulations Toronto!
