For her collection, Layla Chatoor has used distinct and detailed embroidery designs on luxe fabrics such as Indian Maheswarin and Chikankari paired withdistinctive crochet, laces and embossed cotton nets. The Collection also used tatami embroidered motifs, marrori work with fine chained stiches and the designer’s signature gaara filled thread work. Her color palette speaks of fresh tones ina predominant pastel theme.
Speaking about the exhibition, Layla Chatoor said “My Eid collection celebrates time honored embroidery techniques on luxe fabrics from Pakistan and India. This Collection will perhaps appeal most to women with an aesthetic passion for meticulous crafmanship and detailing in thread work”.
