5 Health Tips For Women

There are a number of things that you need to consider as you make a health regimen. People, especially women, make up their mind to lose weight, get in shape and maintain an overall healthy status, but they give up as soon they start off. Before I tell you the tips, let me inform you that if you want to reap the result of your hard work, you have to be consistent in the first place. Get geared up, make a plan to maintain your health and be consistent. My 5 tips are:

1. Diet is the first thing that needs

your consideration as you make a plan to have a healthy lifestyle. Remember the adage Rubbish in is rubbish out and keep in check whatever you eat. A good balanced diet is essential for all especially for girls because they are the future mothers. You might love fatty and junk food but if this is what you are feeding your body on, you are ultimately going to feel lazy, lethargic and have dull complexion and depression. Replace your diet with healthy eatables. Simple diet changes i.e. milk, fruits, fresh meat, vegetables, fibers and cereals should be the first thing in your to-do list.

2. Take water and plenty of it.

All women who want fresh skin and healthy body need to take 8 – 10 glasses of water in a day and there is no second opinion on this. Menstruating women must take iron supplements to make up for their monthly loss of blood. Post-menopausal women should include calcium in their diet to fend off osteoporosis and joint pain.

3. Women who smoke must consider giving it up.

Smoking negatively affects your monthly cycles and can pose problems for you if you are trying to conceive. If you are pregnant or feeding, smoking is a big no-no!

4. Add light exercise such as brisk walking

Moping or house cleaning in your routine. Take stairs instead of elevators when you go to malls, play with your kids and keep yourself on the go all the time. This will help you get in shape as well as ward off laziness.

5. Make sure you visit the gynecologist regularly.

If not this, learn to read the signs of your body to take actions in time. Keep a track record of your menstrual cycles. Consistently missing periods warrant a gynae-visit. Other female problems such as cervical and breast cancer, warts and other STDs can be effectively nipped if caught in the beginning.
