Acharya Sri Khadi MadamaEpisode – 55

She would stay home and clean the house and maybe sew up some new pillows from remnants of colorful fabric that were found in the sewing room of the house when they moved in. She would take a walk into the woods and gather flowers and put them around the house. At school she used the computer to find a new recipe to make for when her mother would return. A comforting soup, just in case she was tired or upset, homemade bread and some flavored butter with snips of herbs from the small kitchen garden they had planted. Gracie decided she would even hang some fabric from the ceiling in her own room to make it look like a tent. She was determined to stay positive no matter what.

In the early moning, on Thursday, a limosine came to pick up Gracie’s mother in the wee hours of the morning. The two hugged and kissed and smiled at each other supportingly, then Mrs. Grey got into the limosine and they both waved and look back on each other as long as they could. The limosene would take Mrs. Grey to the airport where there would be another car to take her to the hotel. It was nearby the office in Washington where she would gather with other persons like herself with missing family members. And then, she would be driven back to the airport and another limosine would bring her back home sometime on Sunday night. Gracie was allowed to have one friend from school come and stay with her, but Gracie knew she wouldn’t need anyone. She had Musika and could call for help to Yoga*Land if she needed anything. Her father had taught her never to be afraid unless something actually presented itself that was an obvious threat. So, Gracie turned herself to simply carrying out her plans for some home crafting. She would even turn down her mother’s bed and put a chocolate on the pillow for her. She knew her mother would be very tired-that would be for certain. What she didn’t know was what her mother would find out and if it would be happy or sad. And, she wanted to make sure that her mother could come home to something special. If it was bad news, she would need it to be bright and cheery and cozy. If it was bad news, she would need it all the more.
